After graduating with honors from Williams College, having majored in Biology and in Philosophy with a concentration in Science and Technology Studies, Erol attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
After residency in Connecticut and fellowship in Chicago, he took over as Chief of his Division in the Urology Department of Tufts University, where he worked at multiple Boston-area hospitals for years.
As an experienced physician with strong clinical and academic background, he then pursued industry experience (all phases: 1, 2, 3a, 3b, and 4 in both large and small pharmaceutical and device companies).
